[2024/11 Update] Japanese Car Plate Assetto Corsa Resource
Update: 15.11.2024
Updated PDF and updated model swap config example for most recent CSP versions (black square fix).
An AEGIS VISUALS side project by RiZe and C13
This resource includes: new front and rear plate, seal, screw meshes, a new CM Showroom Paint Shop style and a PDF with information on how to use it yourself.
After years of modding I noticed the Japanese plates myself and other mod authors were using was inaccurate. Hopefully this release will create a new standard and help mod and skin makers with a good quality Japanese plate.
This project started when I made a new plate mesh and used YenSan's custom plate style. However that gave me the idea to make it into something official. In collaboration with C13 and help from Drifty Joe, we have a whole new CM Showroom Paint Shop plate style remade from the previous style and a fully modelled prefecture seal, both made to the highest standard of quality.
Finally we can provide the community with the first ever accurate Japanese car licence plate model and with full CM Showroom Paint Shop integration!
The plate comes in FBX, OBJ, MAX 2022, MAX 2019 and FRONT/BACK model replacement KN5s.
Provided basic AO textures are in 1024x512 and the new Paint Shop plate Style saves the Plate_NM in 2048x1024.
There is also a PDF with useful information and an example model swap config made on the Porsche 718 Boxster S.
You are free to use the plate how you wish, please credit RiZe/C13/Drifty Joe if used.
Thanks to Zaentyt for providing the first two pictures.

NOTE: Different Custom Shaders Patch versions may break the ability to turn off the CSP plate material found on Kunos cars as shown on the 718 example.
If the plate material has been deactivated then appears black when swapped onto a kunos car, then update or downgrade your CSP.
